Description
For your consideration is this 1977 Fender Rhodes 73 Mk I Suitcase Piano. This listing does not include the speaker cabinet, but does include a custom Synthchaser power supply to power the onboard Janus Pre-amplifier and to interface the piano to the two 1/4″ outputs normally found on the speaker cabinet. The Janus pre-amp features equalization and 2 channel stereo vibrato. Also included is the 5 pin pre-amp cable, power cord for the power supply, and of course the original suitcase lid.
The pre-amp has just been serviced–all polarized capacitors and op amps replaced and sliders and pots cleaned. All keys work as do all functions of the pre-amp. The purchaser may want to tune the piano, and/or restore the action to suit their tastes. The piano itself appears to be in good physical condition, and the suitcase while structurally sound shows heavy wear & tear to the tolex. Prospective buyers are welcome to come try it out before purchasing. Local pickup is welcome and encouraged. We are able to ship the piano, but due to the size and weight, it will be expensive. This is a vintage electronic item, so all sales will be as-is and final. If being shipped, the suitcase will be enclosed in cardboard and the shipment will be insured for the full purchase price.
