Synthchaser Battery Eliminator for Roland Juno 106 Synthesizer w/Factory Patches

Description

The Roland Juno 106 synthesizer stores presets in memory with the use of a battery backup.  Unfortunately the battery is soldered to the board and not easy to change yourself.  Even with a battery holder installed, it’s still a pain when the battery dies because you lose your presets and have to deal with tweaking volume levels on the cassette interface to try to get the patches back in.

Enter the Synthchaser Battery Eliminator module!  This easy to install module replaces the original memory chip and doesn’t need a battery to save the data, much like a flash drive!  For less than the cost of 1 battery change by a tech, you’ll never need to change batteries again!  And even better, this module comes with the factory patches pre-loaded for the Juno 106.  So once it’s in, you’re ready to go!

One cool thing you can do is get multiple modules to maintain different banks of sounds.  You can have one with the factory presets loaded, and pull it out and put in one with your custom sounds.  Be done with messing around with the ancient cassette interface to back up and load your patches.

The original memory chip is soldered to the circuit board, so desoldering and soldering is necessary for installation.  Installation instructions are included.

Also available with installation service!

If you aren’t comfortable desoldering vintage double-sided PCB components or want to avoid risking lifted board traces, our mail-in installation service provides a complete, hassle-free solution.
