Working on a couple of ARP Avatar guitar synthesizers. The "magic" of string frequency to control voltage conversion is in the epoxy filled E' module, though the design never worked so well. If only ARP had brought the Chroma to market instead of the Avatar and the Electronic Piano... Elsewhere one of the power supplies has a filter capacitor that leaked through its vent, and the other has a burned up current sense resistor (scorched all the way through the PCB, too).
