Description
The ARP Omni 2 is a lush analog string and poly synth famous for its rich ensemble sound and iconic bass—heard on classics by Joy Division, The Cars, and Wyld Stallyns. With full polyphony, punchy bass synth, and that unmistakable vintage character, the Omni 2 is a must-have for fans of moody soundscapes and ’70s/’80s synth tones.
This synthesizer is in decent physical condition and has just been serviced by Synthchaser in May 2025. Work done included:
- Recapped all polarized capacitors – including power supply and all tantalum capacitors
- 4075 Filter cutoff frequency correction
- New Key Bushings
- Spray cleaned original sliders
- Tuned & Calibrated
Includes the original anvil case, which will need new foam and some airing out (see photos). Normally I install the Synthchaser Precision LED sliders in ARP Omnis I service and sell, but on this one I left the original sliders and just spray cleaned them to keep the price down.
Prospective buyers are welcome to come try it out before purchasing. Local pickup is welcome and encouraged. If being shipped, the instrument will be insured for the full purchase price, but this is a vintage electronic item, so all sales are as-is and final.
