Description
The Oberheim Matrix-6 is a classic six-voice analog polysynth renowned for its warm, powerful sound and exceptionally deep Matrix modulation system, offering an impressive range of evolving pads, punchy basses, expressive leads, and complex textures. With extensive programmability, velocity and aftertouch sensitivity, and full MIDI control, it’s a versatile vintage Oberheim that remains a favorite among synth players, producers, and collectors.
The synthesizer is in very good condition, with a couple of spots on the keys (see photos). This unit was just serviced by Synthchaser in September 2026 with battery holder and new battery installed, and has the factory “Leads” patches loaded in and ready to go. The aftertouch strip doesn’t work on the upper half of the keyboard.
Prospective buyers are welcome to come try it out before purchasing. Local pickup is welcome and encouraged. If being shipped, the instrument will be packed well and insured for the full purchase price, but this is a vintage electronic item, so all sales are as-is and final.
