After releasing our Emulator II power supply, there have been requests for a similar supply for the Emulator III. So due to popular demand, I present the Synthchaser Emulator III power supply!
New user-installable, drop-in compatible replacement power supply for the E-mu Emulator III (both keyboard and rackmount versions).
- Easily user installable with just a screwdriver. Check out my YouTube video showing the install of the EII supply–the EIII supply is just as easy to install!
- Includes connections to the fuse holder, which is dangerously omitted on other replacement supplies. Fuse protection is important so your gear and studio don’t burn down, and you don’t get injured or killed!
- Resets the clock on the 40+ year old components and improves on the original SMPS design which is suboptimal by today’s standards.
- Simple design based on pre-fab modules keeps cost low.
- All parts are through hole, so this supply can be more easily repaired if needed at some point in the future.
- Universal AC input. Runs on 100-240VAC with no configuration needed.
- Includes solder points for +5V rail that are commonly used in modifications to the output relays.
