Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 / 10 / Pro One Replacement Pot Shaft

Here’s a solution to broken pot shafts on your vintage Sequential Circuits synthesizers like the Prophet 5, 10 and Pro One.  Instead of replacing the pot with an overpriced used potentiometer, you can just transplant in one of these improved replacement shafts.  Just desolder and open the existing pot, remove the broken shaft and move the wiper to the new shaft, stick on a bit of lubricant, insert shaft and close up the pot.  While the pot is open you get an opportunity to clean it well.  The new shafts are made of a more durable material than the original, and have an extra ridge on the shaft which fit the knobs better making them less likely to break in the future.  Shafts may come in black or white.  If you’re not comfortable rebuilding your pot, please contact us, we can do it for you for a nominal fee.
