The price of these slider sets has increased. You may be wondering why they are now more expensive than other offerings on the market, when before they were the cheapest. I have increased the QA process and raised the standards I judge these sliders on before shipping. Now, every slider is hooked to an oscilloscope under power and verified to be drop-out/scratchiness free, even with a moderate amount of torque on the slider shaft. This has not only increased my reject rate, but takes a significant amount of time. For a quality-focused buyer of synth parts, this increase in QA and price will be worthwhile. For those focused on the cheapest solution, consider refurbishing your original sliders or one of the used sliders for refurbishment I sell on this site. However, the best solution has been and remains the Synthchaser Precision LED slider sets. New, modern sliders will blow away both the reproduction sliders and refurbished originals every day of the week. If your issue is with the LED illumination, simply don’t power them.
*Later style ARP slider caps tended to shrink with age. If you have the later style plastic caps (Odyssey Mk III, Omni 2, etc), you may need to slightly sand or file the slider shaft for the original slider caps to fit again. We recommend checking and/or filing before you install the sliders into the synth.
