Description
The E-mu Drumulator may be the last underpriced value of the first generation sampling drum machines. Featuring 12 different drum & percussion sounds through a companding 8-bit DAC and analog SSM filters, and comprehensive editing features, this machine successfully competed against the more expensive Linn LM-1, LinnDrum, Oberheim DMX & DX, and Sequential Drumtraks.
There are a few scratches on the panel, a small crack under the data entry slider (see photos), the mix volume pot is still a little scratchy (see video), and while there is a MIDI jack fitted on the back of the case, there is no MIDI interface installed. This Drumulator includes the latest OS Firmware (3.00), and has just been serviced by Synthchaser in March 2023, including:
- Recapped power supply
- Recapped tantalum capacitors on main PCB
- Replaced slider & knobs
- Cleaned switches
- New battery installed
- New firmware 3.00 EPROM chip installed
- Patterns & Songs Loaded to get you going
- Factory Test Procedure Performed
